Training in A-C Machine Design

What's Offered

Motor Design Training: A two-and-a-half-day course titled “Design of Switched Reluc­tance Machines and Drives.” A new, first-time offered course to help motor design and application engineers, understand the realistic “how-to” for the design of Switched Reluctance (SR) machines and drives: SR Motor operation principles, topologies, SR Drives, SR Motor sizing and applications, geometry details, SR Motor design tools, and realistic possibilities and limitations.

What’s covered:

Course content includes overview and principles of SR motors and drives, SR drive topologies and operation, SR motor physical construction and considerations, SR motor sizing and application considerations, relationship between SR motor performance and commutation, steel, saturation and high-speed motor performance, geometry details for better SR motor performance, how to design SR motors & SR motor design tools, fully integrated SR motor & system design, interactive design examples & discussion of results. Contents are still evolving, more material will be added, and some material may be removed.
