AWWA's fundraising event for water industry professionals
It's time to put together your team (or join a team) to support water professionals and future leaders. AWWA's WE Walk! 2025 raises funds for young professional leadership programs, water and wastewater operators continuing education, and K-12 STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, math) education programs.
This year's event is set to take place April 1 to May 26 in an eight-week, virtually connected marathon supporting the industry. You can support these programs by walking, hiking, cycling, kayaking, skiing, giving, and engaging with our water community.
Donations to Water Equation (WE) advance the water workforce through education, training, and other opportunities. These include funding STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, math) educational programs and encouraging next-generation water professionals by donating to students or young people in the water community. These gifts allow the association to award free registrations to DC-Fly In, ACE24, or specialty conferences to those who cannot afford the event, and provide leadership training.
Lastly, contributors can encourage a career path for entry-level water operators. One AWWA Operator Scholarship provides educational assistance for materials, tuition, and certifications.
