Sulzer's Rayong facility expands its repair capacity in SE Asia


A new Sulzer service center opened recently in Thailand, giving the company a new foothold in Southeast Asia. The Rayong, Thailand facility will reportedly increase Sulzer’s repair capacity in the area by 80%. The company says Rayong "is your local service provider in Thailand for a wide array of rotating equipment regardless of the original equipment manufacturer. Discover newfound performance and longevity for your pumps, industrial steam turbines, compressors with industry leading standards and cutting-edge technology."


Li Jian, President, APAC at Sulzer, said: “Our new facility in Rayong is a direct response to the local market's need for specialised, rapid support. By establishing operations close to our customers, we will ensure that we boost the speed of delivery for tailored solutions that address the unique needs and challenges of our local customers, enhancing the reliability and performance of their operations.”


As part of Sulzer’s plan to meet the needs of local industry, the service center offers streamlined retrofitting capabilities. This allows it to cut typical lead times for critical pump models used in oil and gas production and power generation by 50%.
